Thirty years fixing Brighton & Hove's bikes
Aaron started out helping run his family's hire business, Sunrise Cycles, at the West Pier, then Planet Cycles on Madeira Drive, then his own workshop at the old Open Market, before opening the workshop here in Hove.
The workshop is built on his belief in bikes from the bottom up: the everyday bike is the most efficient machine ever made, and the more people riding, the better. One less car.

Bike repair FAQs
Can I book a bike repair online?
You can request an appointment online. Pick what's wrong and a preferred drop-off or collection window, then send the request. It isn't a confirmed booking until Aaron gets back to you to confirm availability, the appointment and any additional costs.
Do you collect bikes in Hove?
Yes — anywhere within 5 miles of the workshop, which covers all of Hove, Portslade and most of Brighton. Collection is £15 and delivery back is £15. Choose "Collect it for me" when you book and the form checks your postcode.
How does the free labour draw work?
On days when we repair 7 or more bikes, one of those bikes is chosen at random for free labour. Parts are charged separately. We'll let you know if your bike is chosen. Sharing on Instagram is optional.
How much does a bike service cost in Hove?
Essential Service £45, Full Service £85 and Aaron's Overhaul £125, parts extra. Plenty of bikes don't need a full service — an £18 brake or gear adjustment often sorts it, and we'll tell you honestly which you need.
Can you fix my e-bike?
Yes for the mechanical parts — brakes, gears, tyres, wheels and chains. E-bike fault diagnosis is £35, and services carry a £20 e-bike supplement. Motor, battery or electrical faults need an e-bike specialist, and we're happy to recommend one.
Do you sell secondhand bikes?
A small, changing selection of refurbished secondhand and vintage bikes, all checked over in the workshop. Call to see what's in.
